Image
How far along - 24 weeks   Maternity clothes - Some, and some regular clothes still.  I *need* my tax refund ASAP so I can go get some new clothes!  I am growing out of things left and right   Weight gain - 25 lbs...ouch   Stretch marks - nope   Belly button - huge and getting very flat   Sleep - When I am not too sick to fall asleep, it's great.  But I really miss sleeping on my belly:(   Best moment this week - Reaching viability! {however even though I hate being pregnant I want New Baby to stay in there as long as possible!}   Movement - All the time.  I do love it...makes me so relieved everytime I feel it because I know the baby is healthy in there!   Food I'm loving - All things carbs and candy.  I have waffles for breakfast every single morning and am a huge fan of Yoplait yogurt these days too   Food I'm hating - Chicken is iffy.  I still rarely want anything healthy.   Symptoms - still nauseous...seriously, I wish I was kidding.  Lots of back pain, fatigue, out of

Sunday Favorites

Image
This week's Sunday Favorite is what is your all-time favorite TV show?  Not your current favorite, but the one you could watch every day, the one that has stood the test of time.  It took me a little while to narrow down my choice to just one.  I've had a lot of favorites over the years.... I like TV, what can I say!  But there is one show that I can watch for months, miss it for a few years, and pick right back up where I was before.  I can {and do} watch it every day.  It's a show I've been watching on and off for 25 years!  Not only has it stood my test of time, but others as well since it has been on for almost 50 years.  So what is it?  What is my absolute favorite show of all time? Seriously, I love it.  I mean hello, James Franco is even on it!  If you're looking for an afternoon show, definitely check it out! So what about you?  What is you all-time favorite show?

Five Question Friday

Image
1. Can you drive stick shift?  Nope, and I refuse to try.  Skip thinks every person should learn just in case {just in case of what I'm not sure} but I have no interest. 2. What are two foods you just can't eat?  Just two?  I am seriously the world's pickiest eater.  But I guess if I had to chose just two it would be beef of any kind and peas.....ewwwwww 3. Do you buy Girl Scout cookies?  What is your favorite kind? I know that I'm in a tiny minority with this, but I don't really have a huge obsession with Girl Scout cookies.  I bought them from my kids when I was a teacher, but I haven't since.  When I do eat them though, Thin Mints are my fav! 4. How do you pamper yourself? Mani/pedi, laying out at the beach, shopping by myself! 5. What is your nickname and how did you get it? I have a few, but the most unique I guess is Wubbie.  Only Skip calls me that though.  He made it up because he says he "Wubbie {would be} loneley without me!

Big Girl Bed

Image
It was a big night here Tuesday night.  Someone spent her very first night in her big girl bed!! Skip and I have been talking about it for awhile and as much as I would have liked to keep Little M in her crib until it is time for college, I knew it was something we should do before New Baby comes.  I really have been dreading the whole thing though.  Besides the fact that this is a big step for my little baby, I was also not looking forward to all the changes it would bring.  You see, Little M is a freakishly good sleeper.  I try not to mention it too much for fear of jinxing it!  But we put her down to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 every night.  She goes down without a fuss, and even if she doesn't fall asleep right away, she'll play quietly in her crib.  She then sleeps until between 8:30 and 10:00 am.  She also naps really well now.  We put her down at 2:00 and she naps until 4:00 or 5:00.  And I'll be honest...I did NOT want to give these things up!  I was prepared for her

A Day of Love

Image
It's funny how Valentine's Day takes a whole new meaning once you have kids.  For the past three years our focus has changed from making it a day about Skip and I as a couple, to making it a day about our family.  Skip took off this year so we could all spend the day together. I woke up in the morning to some absolutely beautiful tulips sitting on my nightstand.  {Skip had to work until 7 am that day, and snuck the flowers in when he got home}  There were two cards as well...one for me and one for Little M.  Skip loves his girls so much!  We got Little M up and gave her the cards {another from me!} a Toy Story puzzle, a Minnie Mouse book, and a small package of chocolates.  I also gave Skip his card and some chocolate truffles {his favorites!}  We enjoyed some waffles and then Skip went back to sleep for a bit and Little M and I headed over to my parent's house to get out for a bit.  It was soon lunchtime and we headed out to Friendly's!  Not quite the candlelit Italian

Sunday Favorites

Image
I've decided to start a new tradition here on Mommy Musings.  I want to start something called Sunday Favorites.  Every Sunday I will post about a different favorite of mine {flowers, meals to make, shops, etc.} and why.  Feel free to join in!  I would love to create a button for this but I honestly have no idea how! {anyone want to help?}  Okay, here we go! Today's Sunday Favorite is flowers.  My favorite flower is the tulip.  image found at google.com I had always thought they were beautiful.  I love how simple they are, and how different they look whether open or closed.  My love for them was sealed though when I was a senior in college.  Skip and I were engaged and he was deployed to Iraq.  My mom found a bookmark for me with a tulip pin attached.  On the bookmark was a poem about a woman waiting for her betrothed in a field of tulips {it would be perfect if I could FIND the poem, but I have no idea where the bookmark is now and hours of searching the internet turned up not

Pregnancy Update - Week 22

How far along - 22 weeks Maternity clothes - yup, along with lots of sweats and yoga pants Weight gain - 22 lbs I think?  I would love if this would slow down!  I also must be the only person in the world who is nauseous all the time but has to keep eating and keeps gaining lots of weight Stretch marks - none Belly Button - still in but very shallow Sleep - I loooooove sleeping.  I swear I am way more tired the second trimester than the first.  It's a little harder to get comfortable but not bad.  Sleeping is the only time I don't feel nauseous so it's my favorite thing! Especially online shopping for it's ease and convience.  But the one thing I love more than shopping is a great deal.  I mean in this day and with the current economy, is there anyone who pays full price for anything any more?  I know I try my hardest not to.  This is why I am so excited to share Joss and Main with you.  Joss and Main is a "members-only private sale boutique allowing access to highly coveted brands for the home at members-only prices".  This company was created by CSN stores {and you already know how much I love them!} Here is how it works, Each day, we offer our members a carefully selected collection of merchandise intended to complete and refine your home. Show Us Your Life - Beauty Secrets!

Image
Today I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner for her Show Us Your Life Friday.  This week's edition is Beauty Secrets And what girl doesn't love sharing the insider tips and products she has come to love!  The first tip I have has to do with mascara....a product I refuse to leave the house without.  It doesn't matter what other makeup I am or not wearing, I *must* wear mascara.  It always brightens up my face and makes me look like I've had way more sleep than I actually have.  However, even though I have a deep love for mascara, it took me a really long time to find one I really loved.  Until this summer.  I needed a waterproof mascara to wear to a pool party I was going to, and I stumbled across this beauty image found on google.com Maybelline Lash Stilletto.  I don't just like this mascara, I love, want to spend the rest of my life with, buy every tube I can find in fear they will discontinue it, mascara.  Seriously, it will change your life. My next t

Home Office Furniture from CSN

With New Baby coming soon, we have been doing a lot of rearranging of rooms and furniture and whatnot.  One of the big moves was bringing our office down into the new playroom. I want this to be both functional and pleasing to look at, so of course I turned to the great people over at CSN.  Their home office furniture selection is exactly what I was looking for.  Head on over there and check out all the great stuff for your home office!

Dreary Winter Blues

Wow, I totally didn't think I had been neglecting my poor blog this badly!  The days all just seem to blend together recently into a mix of nausea, snow, and freezing temperatures.  Seriously, it's a big week if I leave the house more than once.  Sad.  I also tried going off my Zofran this weekend, hoping that I was getting better and I could power through without it.  BAD IDEA.  I'm okay with taking it three days a week for the rest of my pregnancy.  So my lack of blogging has really been more of a lack of anything interesting to blog about. We did have our big 20 week ultrasound last Thursday!  We were in there for an hour and a half {baby was not really cooperating and letting the tech get all the pictures she needed} and it was so great to get to see the baby that long.  In answer to the big question of should we or should we not find out the sex of the baby.....we did! {sorry to all those of you who asked me and I said I didn't...I panicked! haha}  However, we have
