Represented

There are a few phone calls in my life that I'll remember forever. The most significant was when my husband called me from Germany, having safely left Iraq, to tell me he was on his way home to me.   A phone call I received last Friday afternoon ranks high on that list now too.   You've all been following on this writing journey with me, and I'm so excited to announce that I have finally landed a literary agent! I have unofficially been working with Sarah for a few months now. But as of Friday, I am officially a client, contracts signed and all.   What I love about Sarah is she's not just trying to make a quick buck off my book. She's been working on me with the best plan for my career. Because if I'm going to do this, then I want to do that right. And with that comes me putting aside my first two books {and the third I only finished half of} and have started working on a new book. This one will be the best shot as a debut author. I've been meaning to carve out more blogging time, so when I saw Kelly is reviving her 'Show Us Your Life Fridays' I thought I'd jump on! I used to do this link-up years ago and always loved it! Today's topic is an introduction. So whether you're an old follower, or new, here's a little but about me!  My name's Mandy, I'm in my early 30's, and I live in New Jersey {best state ever} I've been married to my husband Skip for over a decade. He is a combat veteran of the Marine Corps and currently works in law enforcement. We have two sweet little girls. Emmy is 7 and Charlie is 4. They are the sweetest, silliest, sisters you've ever seen and I'm so lucky I get to call them mine. I'm a former teacher-turned SAHM-turned wanna be novelist.
