Before and After - Condo

Image
I've done several before and after posts here about the current house that we live in {and promise a post of Baby C's nursery soon!}  But I decided to show you a before and after of the teeny tiny condo the hubs and I lived in for three years when we first got married! Skip and I were very excited and fortunate to be able to buy our own condo when we got married.  Sure it was only one bedroom and the only bathroom was in our bedroom {not fun when we had guests over} but it was ours!  We had no experience decorating a place though, but decided to have some fun with it anyways.  We wanted a red, white, and blue theme....would you expect anything less from a Marine who just back from Iraq?  We had the red walls {blue in the bathroom}, blue carpets, a white couch, and tons of patriotic paraphernalia lying around.  However, we knew it was waaaaay too taste specific to attempt to sell it in that condition.  So we cleared out half our stuff to put in storage and tamed down the color s

On My Own

So the husband went back to work today...cue sad tears now.  He has been home for six weeks and I had not yet gotten sick of him!!!  We had gotten into a nice rhythm with the girls and everything was going pretty smoothly.  So I would be lying if I wasn't a little nervous about what life will be like with him gone! I'll admit though, so far it's not too bad.  Little M went down for a nap just before he left, so it was just me and Baby C.  Now C is napping in the pack-n-play and M is watching Toy Story and drinking her milk.  I was even able to throw a load of laundry in!  Though I can almost guarantee that in just a few minutes Baby C will wake up, Little M will want me to have a dance party with her, the phone will ring, and Mr. B will be chewing something.  I speak only from experience as this is what usually happens around 5 pm every night! Thankfully my baby sis is coming over tonight to help with bedtime, so I'm not totally alone!  Then I'll just have to deal w

Keeping Cool Fun

Image
As most of you know, it has been RIDICULOUS hot around here this week.  Now I LOVE the heat, but it is hard to entertain the little ones when it's this hot out.  So we've been trying to come up with some fun ways to entertain Little M in the house.  Her new favorite activity is to 'wash her hands'.  We pull a step stool over to the kitchen sink, tie on her apron, fill the sink with water, soap, some cups and bowls, and let her play.  It is super fun for her and keeps her entertained for almost an hour! Need more water! Now for some soap How cute is this apron? Mommy, you should play too! Love her little gap teeth! Giving Mr. B some water Happy girl

Four Generations

Image
The other day my mom brought my grandma over for a visit with the girls.  My grandma had already come over once before to meet Baby C, but this time she was going to get to spend a lot of one on one time with the girls.  It was so awesome to have FOUR generations of women all together!  I'm so blessed to still have her around with my girls. My sweet angel A new "boutique"! Me and my girls Grandma the Great Four generations!
