I always thought that if I made it through middle school and high school relatively unscathed, then I made it through the hardest part of growing up as a girl. Little did I know just how wrong I was. Middle school girls have nothing on mommies. With the creation of blogs, Pinterest, and Twitter, it's easy to feel judged sometimes. But that is still nothing compared to be judged by moms siting right in front of you. When Emmy was little, I decided to try out a mommy/kid play date group. None of my family or friends had kids and I was desperate for some adult interaction. I found one online and was so excited when I signed up for our first play date.
