Here's a little catch-up for your Friday! - It's been three weeks since I sprained my ankle and I'm still rocking this air cast.  It's about as much fun as it sounds.  It sounds silly, but not being able to run has been SO hard for me.  It's my one break, the one thing I do for me every day.  And it's been GORGEOUS out.  I slaved away for months on the treadmill, just waiting for the day I could run outside.  It's absolute torture not to be out there.  There also seems no end in sight for my injury.  So if you'll need me I'll be in the corner crying and eating my feelings. - We recently had a very busy day of birthday parties, zoo visits, and college graduations....and the best party was that Skip was home for it!  How often does that happen?!  It was so great to spend that time with my family and friends! - With school winding down, my days are numbered with Charlie at home with me.  I'm soaking up every last moment before BOTH my ...

Today is already feeling very Monday-ish, but at least the sunshine and hot weather are helping!  I am absolutely loving this early summer feel. Skip has been working normal hours the past few weeks...home for dinner, off on weekends.  It's AMAZING!!  This is what you're all treated to every day?!?  It really is the greatest thing ever, and I've been soaking up all the family time we've gotten.  Sadly, it all ends this week, but it was nice while it lasted. School pictures came in this week.  I absolutely love my big girl's sweet face! It's carnival time around here in New Jersey.  For the next few weeks all the local schools seem to have carnivals to raise money.  It's a little pricey, but fantastic.  We've been taking Emmy for years, but never brought Charlie before.  Last Tuesday we all went as a family.  The girls had such a fabulous time!  I loved watching their little excited faces on each of the rides. It's been a really  long time since I did any sort of updating on here, so it looks like a random list post is in order! - I miss blogging.  I know hardly anyone blogs, or even reads them anymore, but I love having a record of our lives to look back on.  Must get better about it. - I've been away so much because I've been knee-deep in finishing my novel.  Well, 8 months, 93,706 words, 337 pages double spaced later, it's done!  I've finished my query letter and synopsis as well.  I spent all weekend researching agents and narrowed it down to the first handful I'm going to send out my stuff to.  I'll be querying them this week and then it'll be time to sit back and wait for the rejections to roll in.  It's exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time.  I'll probably take a little time off writing for a bit then start diving into my next novel! - I was walking in the kitchen the other day and slipped.  Don't worry, I caught myself on th...

I'm not even sure what day it is anymore, so a little mish mash is all I can handle today. - Emmy was off of school again  yesterday.  We had way more ice than snow this storm, which made it so much more dangerous. Covered in ice I'm not sure how much more of this I can take.  Especially since the high on Sunday is going to be 9*.......9*.  Someone fly me to Florida - Being stuck in the house so much is really starting to wear on all of us, and we are running out of ways to pass the time: there has been plenty of dress up.... ...snuggles.... ...purging and reorganizing anything I can find... ...way too many sweets... ...and dance parties every night.
