You can just click on any of the links to purchase them yourself! {this is not a sponsored post, just some things I love, but I am using affiliate links} The Lumene skin care line I stumbled upon this at CVS one day and have absolutely fallen in love.  It really helps brighten my skin and makes it super smooth! I have been using the Lumene Radiant Touch Refreshing Foam Cleanser , Lumene Radiant Touch Refreshing Toner, 6.8 Fluid Ounce , Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Day Cream ~ 1.7 Fl. Oz. Lumene Vitamin C Pure Radiance Night Cream for just a few weeks now and am sold on the results! Marcus Luttrell  I've talked about my love of the movie The Lone Survivor in previous posts. The book Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10 was even more captivating, as was Marcus Luttrell's follow up book Service: A Navy SEAL at War I...

Want a clean, sweet smelling baby? Check out Baby Magic

Image
I'm going to let you in on a little secret here....I'm not a huge fan of bath time with my girls.  Sure, I love their sweet smelling freshly bathed heads and shiny brushed out hair.  But the whole process is exhausting.  Especially when you're husb works the evening shift every other week, and even if he's home a certain two year old won't let anyone but Mommy bathe her.  I just can't always motivate myself to deal with all the splashing and the wriggling of wet little bodies.  So I'm definitely not always giving them a bath every day. Just because we might go a day or so in between, does not mean I want my kids to smell or be dirty.  So whatever bath products I use, I really want to last until they're next dunk in the tub. Thankfully I have found this in the Baby Magic .  Before I even opened up the bottles, I knew I would like them.  After all, their products are paraben free! The company also does not sure quaternium-15 or 1,4-dioxane in t...

Tree Hut Body Butter and Scrub

Image
I was recently given the opportunity to review two products from Tree Hut .  I'll be honest, I had never heard of this company before.  But after my experience with them, I want to make sure you don't make that mistake! Tree Hut was first started back in Texas over ten years ago.  They are a company that is really dedicated to making a great product that their customers really enjoy.  Their products are never tested on animals and are made right here in the United States! I was lucky enough to review both the Almond and Honey Shea Sugar Body Scrub as well as the Brazilian Nut Body Butter . First, let me talk about the Body Scrub . It's purpose is not only to exfoliate all the rough dead skin away, but also to moisturize the skin below. Almond oil is one of my absolute favorite scents, and this did not disappoint at all.  But my favorite favorite part is the exfoliation.  I have used many scrubs over the years, and I feel like they are either way too abras...

Best Beauty Finds

Image
Happy Sunday everyone!  It's actually my family's Monday {cop wife problems} but I hope you and your family are spending a great day together. Since my last post was so heavy, I thought I'd lighten it up a bit with some of my favorite beauty products.  This is not a sponsored post {though I am using affiliate links} these are just the best make-up products that I use! CoverGirl Trublend Liquid Make Up Classic Ivory 410, 1.0-Ounce Bottle I have probably tried every single foundation they stock at CVS.  I have never been able to find just the right one, and I refuse to pay lots of money for one.  Then I stumbled upon CoverGirl Trublend and I swear my world changed.  It has great coverage, lasts a long time, and gives my skin the perfect dewy look.  Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio - Eye 1, 2, 3 Colour Compact: Base (Come Heather Single Shade Eye Shadow Trio), Contour (Lilac Truffle Single Shade Eye Shadow Duo), Definer (Seashell Pink/fawn Satin Sing...

A Girl and Her Band Review

Image
I recently partnered up with a fabulous company called A Girl and Her Band...marches to her own beat  and am so excited to tell you about them.  They sell headbands and hair ties, but they are so so much more than that.  They are revolutionizing the industry and empowering girls at the same time.  The company, founded by four moms " believes that ALL girls are born to be bold, creative and confident individuals. We are more than a high-performance headband. Our headbands are the active girl's perfect accessory to achieving dreams. No dreams are too big or too small. Our designs are spunky, athletic, and whimsical; just like the girls who wear them!" As a girl mom, this message is so important to me!  I want Emmy and Charlie to grow up feeling strong, powerful, and that they can accomplish anything.  And if they can do that and still look stylish, all the better! I was lucky enough to be sent two headbands, and some hair ties to review!! First, I had...

At-Home Gel Manicure

Image
I love a good mani/pedi...I mean what girl doesn't?  When your fingers and toes are all dressed up, it doesn't matter what you're wearing or how your hair looks.  Okay, maybe that's not entirely true, but I do always feel a little fancier.  My one really big problem with manicures?  They honestly never last more than a day, maybe two for me.  I can't get more than a two days with a salon manicure without it chipping either.  Drives me bananas.  And I have tried all different brands and top coats, from the super cheap to the super expensive.  Nothing works . Before we had kids and a much tighter budget, I would go to my local nail salon every two weeks for pink and white gels over acrylics, swoon .  But once I stopped bringing in the extra income, my pretty nails had to pay the price.  I have used the glue on ones from CVS for special events {and seriously get so many compliments over those} but I like a good color on my nail...

Tips and Tricks for Fixing Damaged Hair

Image
As I explained previously, the reason I dyed my hair brown {and cut it short back in October} was because it was pretty fried.  10+ years of bleaching the hell out of it will do that to you.  So I'm using this summer as a "hair do-over" if you will.  I want to grow it long again and the only way to do that is to take extra special care of it.  I'm going to share with you a few of the tips/tricks I have found out so far.  And please let me know if you have any other ideas! {one} The big and simplest thing I'm doing is not touching.  No more coloring {this color is my natural hair color} no blow drying, no straightening, no curling iron on a daily basis.  I only will blow dry and straighten now if it's a special occasion.  I wear it down for bed, so the elastic won't pull at it.  My hair may look like crap all the time, but it'll pay off in the long run! {two} Vitamins.  I've stayed on my prenatal vitamins {no more babies still they're jus...
