I'm so far behind on things I want to blog about, but all I can manage today is a few pictures of my sweet girls. A few weeks ago, we got Emmy's school picture sent home.  It was absolutely adorable as always. If you'll notice, we did not get one for Charlie.  Apparently she's very particular about who takes her picture, and wanted nothing to dow with it at school. I was a little sad to not have her sweet little face captured, so instead, I snapped a few pictures this morning.  First we got a few outtakes: But then she warmed up and I got a few keepers! Couldn't leave out big sis... And I absolutely love these ones!

I've done a few posts like this before in the past.  Emmy is becoming quite the little budding photographer these days.  As her camera is still awaiting new batteries, she has taken to using her I Phone {my old one she only gets at certain times} to snap some pics.  Not only is she perfecting the art of the selfie, she has also taken to staging shots with her toys!  I just love getting a little glimpse into her world!

I haven't been feeling great on and off all week.  I can't figure out if it's allergies or a cold, but I'm over it.   Anyways, I'm too busy blowing my nose to write anything of substance, so here's a nice photo fluff post for you today! Emmy changes into a different princess costume every  afternoon.  These were things I dreamed about when I first had a little girl.  We had a make-shift pond in our backyard due to a couple of really big storms recently.  I'm sure it grosses people out, but letting the girls play in it was one of my smartest ideas.  Kept them busy for hours! Emmy's new obsession these days is worms... It totally grosses me out Most of the time I work out in a tank top and old maternity shorts.  So  I felt all dressed up when I wore actual running clothes the other day. Apparently I should do that more often since I broke all kinds of personal records that day  Ewww Emmy drew up this design the other day for a tower. ...

The other day I got all dressed up and asked Skip to take some pictures of me for my eShakti post .  We quick popped upstairs while the girls were watching TV so we could take the pics in peace.   Just as we were finishing up, Emmy yelled up asking what we were doing.  When we told her a mini-photo shoot, she demanded  she get some pictures taken too!   So sweet and fun.  I'm so glad to always have pictures taken with my girls.   Especially ones where I actually have make-up one and am not rocking my mom bun.

As parents, we're always trying to capture moments with our kids....important milestones, special outings, vacations, firsts, gorgeous pics perfect for a Christmas card. But sometimes it's nice to just whip out the camera on a whim and just capture THEM.  Mismatched clothes, messy post-nap hair, ever so important band aids on their chin, as they watch their current TV show moments.  Moments that really capture who they are. And I'm so glad I did.
