Obligatory Easter Post

What would the day after a holiday look like without a million blog recaps!?!?  I don't want to know.  In all honesty, I really love seeing how everyone spent their holiday, so keep the recaps coming! It has been a loooong  few days around here {which I will blog about it more detail over the week} so I was looking forward to a relaxing Easter.  We had been invited to spend it with each of our families, but as Skip was working 1- 11pm, we felt it best and easiest just to stay home as a little family of four.  I knew it would be a tough afternoon being without Skip, and it being the first Easter without my Grandma, but we would make it work the best we could. The Coloring of the Eggs

I was feeling pretty meh  about Easter this year.  So there were no decorations put out and all the prep was done totally last minute.   But no matter what, we had to  make sure to decorate some eggs!  I didn't feel like wrangling Charlie this year { sorry babe}  but Emmy has done it the past few years and simply loves  it.   This was the first year though that after we set everything up, we let her do all the work!  She could not have enjoyed it more. Listening to the fizzy noise the tablets make when dropped in vinegar Oh the sass Showing off her work Finished product So pleased with herself! So do you decorate eggs with your kids?  Do they do most of the work or do you get in on the fun as well?

Once all the eggs were accounted for, we got dressed in our best and headed out to spend the day with my in-laws. Best/only picture I got of the two of them in their dresses.  The girls had such a good time running around with their cousin. ...
