Weekend in Orlando

Image
We might have woken up Saturday no longer at Disney, but we were still ready to have some fun in Orlando!  The hotel resort we were staying at was just beautiful.  Our suite had two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and washer/dryer!  The was probably one of the most helpful things on our trip! There was also a pool, lake, and playground on property as well.  Perfect! We spent the morning picking up some decent coffee for a change, grabbing a few things at the grocery store, {love you Publix!} and then spent some time in the nice heated pool the resort had.  Emmy was loving the pool so much that when we came back upstairs she insisted on playing pool in the living room.  She was the lifeguard and all her dolls were the kids playing in the pool. Skip and Emmy headed out to try and fish, while Charlie and I had some snuggle time. Unfortunately they came back rather quickly, as the hotel wouldn't let them fish withe impending storm coming {obviously it was sti...

Farewell Vacation

Image
Tuesday was our final day down in Florida and we decided to make it a low-key one.  After breakfast together, B and his son went off to work and school, and Skip, the girls, and I headed out to do some shopping!  We headed out to the outlets and Skip told me this trip was just about me.  So while he wheeled the girls around keeping them entertained, I was able to wander around, try on clothes, and even purchase a few things for myself.  Shopping alone and for clothes for me is really a luxury these days and I had a fabulous time! We met up again for lunch and then just headed back to B's house.  We got the girls to actually nap that day and Skip and I just relaxed in the warm Florida sun one more time. I made dinner for everyone that night as a thank-you for having us.  We then spent the next two hours or so watching Little M and B's son run around the backyard playing together.  They hit it off right away and were totally inseparable any time they wer...

MICKEY'S HOUSE!!

Image
When the alarm went off on Monday morning, even I bolted out of bed with excitement....it was MICKEY'S HOUSE DAY!!!  The months and months of Little M asking when we were going to see the castle were finally over....THE day was here! We quick got up, ate some breakfast, and dressed the girls in their matching Mickey Mouse outfits before heading out for the day! It did take us a little longer than we thought to get to the Magic Kingdom.  And add in the lines for will call, the ferry, tickets presentation, and security, it was about 10:45 before we even walked out onto main street.  But as soon as we rounded the corner and saw "Mickey's Castle", it was all worth it. A smile appeared on Little M's face that did not leave for the rest of the day.  We got some drinks {mom fail...I only brought stuff for Baby C, no drinks or snacks for the rest of us!} and took pictures in front of the castle before heading off to check out some more stuff. My kid is the coolest person ...

Cocoa Beach

Image
If you've been around this blog for a while now, you know I am a total beach girl.  I could spend hours and days just laying out on the sand or splashing around in the water.  I spent every summer as a kid down at the Jersey Shore, and try to go as much as possible as an adult too.  And I am happy to announce that I DID rock a bikini! So when B suggested we have a beach day on Sunday, I was psyched!  Sure the beach is different now that I have kids, but it can still be just as much fun.  So we packed up all our stuff and headed to Cocoa Beach. Remember those days when you were in college and a day at the beach meant grabbing your bikini, a diet coke, and a blanket and you were set for the day?  Well when you have three adults and two children, things change a bit.  Skip, B, and I kept joking about how the years have changed and how old looking we have all become as we lugged all the kid stuff to the beach {while I was wearing Baby C in the moby...heigh...
