Mommy Musings

When I was younger, I would constantly wonder what the next year would bring, the next five, the next ten. But since most of my days are spent wiping faces and tidying up toys, I rarely have time to think that far into the future anymore.  In five years: I'll be 35 {ouch} Skip and I will celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary Emmy will be 9 and Charlie 7 I'll be working somewhere again.  Probably as a teacher, but my dream would be to find something to do from home Who knows what Skip's work schedule will look like We probably will have upgraded my car to something a little bigger.  I have an Xterra that I love but it's really not as big as I originally thought.  I'm holding out hope for the Armada next I hope we've gone on some awesome family vacations.  Disney again..plenty of trips to the beach...possibly the Outer Banks Hopefully Shiba will still be with us and maybe we will have added a bulldog back into the mix I'm hoping to have a new couch and a f...

I'm linking up with Becky to kick off her 52 weeks of blogging with a purpose.  This week's topic is Who I Am. I could sit here and talk about how I'm a mother, a wife, a former teacher, etc.  But then I cam across this picture that Emmy took of me recently. She was taking a picture of me while I was taking a picture of her.  I think you can learn a lot about me from this simple pictures.  You can see a lot of my physical characteristics, I'm blond, thin, have really bony collar bones.  But if you look closer, you can see so much more than that. You can see that when I'm home I'm a very simple person, no make-up, hair up in a bun, comfy clothes. You can assume I must really like pink if I'm a 30 year old mom who has a hot pink phone case.  You can see that I'm thrifty and kind of cheap because I bought those pj pants when I was 18 and a freshman in college.  So yes I've been wearing them for 12 years.
