In Five Years....

When I was younger, I would constantly wonder what the next year would bring, the next five, the next ten.

But since most of my days are spent wiping faces and tidying up toys, I rarely have time to think that far into the future anymore. 

In five years:

I'll be 35 {ouch}

Skip and I will celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary

Emmy will be 9 and Charlie 7

I'll be working somewhere again.  Probably as a teacher, but my dream would be to find something to do from home

Who knows what Skip's work schedule will look like

We probably will have upgraded my car to something a little bigger.  I have an Xterra that I love but it's really not as big as I originally thought.  I'm holding out hope for the Armada next

I hope we've gone on some awesome family vacations.  Disney again..plenty of trips to the beach...possibly the Outer Banks

Hopefully Shiba will still be with us and maybe we will have added a bulldog back into the mix

I'm hoping to have a new couch and a fancy outdoor patio set

All in all, I hope my little family of four is just loving life and enjoying our time together.

Happy Thursday everyone!  I'll be honest, I almost didn't link up today.  Mainly because there's really not much to report.  Here's what I did:   Thursday September 19 - none Friday - nothing Saturday - 2.5 mile walk Sunday - nada Monday - zip Tuesday - nothin' Wednesday - no thing Weekly Total - 2.5 August total - 31.4 Yeaaaaaah...so that whole 50, maybe 60 miles I was hoping for this month is not going to happen.  In my defense, I seem to have come down with the plague and have been sick all week.  Saturday was the only day I felt kind of normal.  I always have trouble pushing myself when I have a cold to workout, and normally end up just sitting on the couch under a blanket instead.  I really do miss working out though and will hopefully be able to get a little something done to finish out the month. What about you?  Do you still workout when you're sick?  How do you motivate yourself?

The Movers Concert!

Sooo, I totally didn't mean to take this mini blogging break.  But life has just been crazy busy and on the go the past few days that there was no time!  It was nice though to just step away from pretty much all social media and just LIVE.  This weekend was good for my soul and I will be doing a few catch-up posts to fill you all in! The fun began on Thursday afternoon.  Way back in October, Skip and I heard that that Imagination Movers were doing a concert nearby.  You know, these guys from the Disney Channel... They once aired a concert of theirs on the Disney Channel and Little M is OBSESSED.  We have it saved on the DVR, and she wants to watch it at least 3 times a week.  So when we heard about the tickets in October, we were really tempted.  But we didn't know if she would still be interested in them, and with our trip to Disney, we were saving all the money we could. What to wear in September

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but here in Jersey the weather gets a little strange here once the calender switches to September.  It's still really warm during the day {70's and 80's} but it drops down to the 60's, 50's and sometimes even 40's at night.  And since it's post labor day, it's not exactly appropriate to be rocking all my summer favorites.  So this often poses a real challenge when it comes to clothes. The past few years, since I'm a SAHM, I have just lived in yoga pants, a tank top, and a zippie {a zip-up hooded sweatshirt} most of the time.  But since I have to take Emmy to school now, I don't want to be that frumpy mom standing in the pick-up and drop-off area.  Here are some of the outfits I've been throwing together.  I've been working hard on finding things that I can easily add or take away clothes as the temperature changes, instead of changing my outfit 109834598 times a day. {Sorry for the...
