What are we teaching our girls?
As the mom of daughters, I feel a lot of pressure to raise them with the healthiest body image as possible. It is something I have been working on already. I don't make a big deal at meal times. I make healthy meals and place it in front of them. They have to at least try everything on their plate once. But that's it. If they don't eat, they're obviously not hungry. I don't force it. {they also won't get a snack anytime they want...I do want them to learn about healthy, well balanced meals} When I go workout, or do it in front of the girls, I focus on the fact that it makes Mommy healthy and strong. I never want my girls to develop unhealthy habits because they are trying to achieve a too thin body. I think this is something all moms of daughters want...healthy, active, fit girls who are happy with their bodies. So why are these some of the same women who have been spending time recently tearing down the body image...
