Mommy Musings

Father's Day was a pretty low-key affair this year.  Unfortunately we mixed up our dates and forgot to have Skip take off for it.  So we only had him home in the morning with us.  The girls and I tried to make the most of it by letting Skip sleep in and giving him breakfast in bed. After a few presents and a little relaxing, poor guy had to leave for work, and the girls and I spent the rest of the day playing outside. Skip was off the next day though, so we packed up and headed down the shore to spend time with my dad.  It was a perfect  beach day and we were all sad to leave the sun and sand. I love getting to celebrate the two amazing dads in my life.  And if this is a preview of what are summer is going to look like, then count me in!

Sunday was a big day of celebration for all of us.  Not only was it Father's Day, but Charlie's third birthday as well!!  Even though we were so far from home and not having a typical family party, I wanted it to be as special as I could make it.  I had brought not only all the gifts for them, but also tons of Bubble Guppies decorations and tried to make the best of it. She woke up all happy and excited to see everything, and immediately dove into opening the gifts.  She opened hers, as well as helped Skip with his! After a little playing with the new toys, we headed out for a quick early morning swim. Since we were still going through Disney withdrawal, Skip and I decided we should all head back to Downtown Disney for a bit.  We made lunch reservations at T Rex and headed out!
