Happy Thanksgiving!!  This holiday season has definitely crept up on me, but I am so happy it's here I just kind of wished I lived in Florida so I could be warm and thankful.   I am very excited to spend the morning with my little family of four watching the parade, park my tush in front of some football, and bring the girls over to my parents house for dinner.  2012 has been more than a little trying at times, but I do have so much to be thankful for, today and every day. Thursday is my favorite day of the week. Every Thursday night I get to watch a little of this and spend some time with this girl Nothing re-energizes me like a little McDreamy and some good old-fashioned girl talk:)

Today I am thankful for all my friends who have been so supportive during this tough time. I am also thankful for my husband who has been just amazing, helping out and offering so much support. I am also thankful that my Grandma is in good spirits despite everything going on. Keep those prayers coming for her!

Today I am thankful for my AMAZING husband who let me sleep in until 9 and made me a pancake breakfast in bed....for no particular reason.  I love you Skip!!!

Today I am thankful for this gorgeous day.  I feel like I talk about the weather in every other post, but today was just PERFECT!  And beautiful weather always makes even the toughest days seem better.  Like today for example...the husband was working another 16 hour shift and the baby woke me up at 5:00 am.  I'm not even sure how I'm still up at 11:30 pm with no nap!! (just shows you just how obsessed with my husband I am still...I'm only waiting up to see him, since I haven't seen him since 6:00 am this morning!)  But despite all that, Little M and I had a great day.  She was very happy and smiley, which is always a bonus.  We went to the store first thing, then came home for breakfast.  Afterwards we walked up to my parents' house and we hung out there for a bit.  After lunch I took her to the park (first time I've done that by myself!) and I walked her around the pond for an hour.  It was so nice to be in the sun, get in a decent workout, and I even got some...

This week I am thankful for: - My husband who tries to let me sleep as much as possible whenever he is home - My beautiful daughter's laughter - My husband and my mom for watching Little M so I can substitute teach sometimes - Not having to work full-time outside the home - Take-out at the end of a long day - My mom making me a homecooked meal the first day I go back to working - My health and the health of my family

Today I am thankful for: - The GORGEOUS weather we are going to be having the next few days...can't wait to get out in the sunshine! - True friends who always stand by me and don't judge me - Having a house and money to pay all our bills, even during these tough economic times - My parents living so close to me and always available to help me - My husband's and my relationship growing stronger and stronger every day - Baby smiles and giggles

Today I am thankful for: -My two amazing sisters who always seem to know exactly what I need...They are my best friends -My health and the health of my family -A beautiful house with a great backyard that my dogs can play in and I can relax with the baby in -Winter being over and warm spring weather finally sticking around -Long walks around the neighborhood with my little family

It's that time again! This week I am thankful for: - My amazing husband who works all the time so I can stay home with the baby, and yet still likes to make me dinner when he's home:) - My parents who are always there to support and help me in any way they can - Daylight savings...I'm not a fan of losing an hour of sleep, but I LOVE that it is light out until 7:00 pm - My beautiful baby girl...her smiles and laughter brighten every moment of my day - Digital cameras...I wouldn't be able to take the thousands of pictures that I do without one!

Ok, so I know I'm a day late again with my Thankful Thursday post, but with a 3 month old who I think has begun teething, free time is not something I have a lot of recently.  So I guess I should say that the first thing I am thankful for is a little free time to myself tonight.  Other things I am thankful for this week are: - online shopping....there is no way I would be able to buy anything anymore without it - my husband being home on Monday afternoon to shovel the snow...first time this year I wasn't the one to do it! - the weather being nice today and getting even warmer over the next few days - friends stopping by to visit and catch up...very important when a baby and two dogs are your usual conversationalists

It works out perfectly that today is Thursday, the day I dedicate this blog to all the things I'm thankful for.  Today is also February 26th, which is the anniversary of the day my Skip came home from Iraq.  Four years ago today I was standing on the runway of a small military base in Willow Grove, PA, freezing my butt off, because you know I was not dressing for comfort on that day!  Every year on this day my husband and I rewatch the video we have of his arrival back to the US (ok, so it's more like I make him watch it with me)  I think it's so important to always remember what he went through and just how beyond happy we were that day.  So today, and everyday, I am thankful that my husband came home safe and sound from Iraq...and I am also thankful that this year we can share this anniversary with our healthy and happy daughter:)

Today I am thankful for: - It being a nice day so I could take Meredith for a nice long walk - My baby sister who always humors me in my craziness - My two puppies who provide me with playful times, comfort, and security - My husband who will do anything for his family - My beautiful daughter and her amazing smiles

I plan on dedicating every Thursday from now on as "Thankful Thursday".  I want to take the opportunity to reflect a little bit and count all the many blessings I have in my life.  However, I was too busy watching the two-hour Grey's Anatomy event last night to blog then, so I'm a day late this week! I am grateful for: - All of the help I have received on my blogs.  I no longer feel alone as a new mom, but have lots of help from so many generous women...Thank you everyone! - Nothing being damaged on my property from the high winds yesterday - My bulldog puppy (who is not quite house-broken yet) had two straight days without an accident....let's go day #3! - My baby took four decent length naps yesterday - My husband who is a constant source of strength, support, and love.  And I will never be able to thank him enough for doing whatever it takes so I can stay home with our daughter...it means the world to me!
