A Girl and Her Band Review
I recently partnered up with a fabulous company called A Girl and Her Band...marches to her own beat and am so excited to tell you about them. They sell headbands and hair ties, but they are so so much more than that. They are revolutionizing the industry and empowering girls at the same time.
The company, founded by four moms " believes that ALL girls are born to be bold, creative and confident individuals. We are more than a high-performance headband. Our headbands are the active girl's perfect accessory to achieving dreams. No dreams are too big or too small. Our designs are spunky, athletic, and whimsical; just like the girls who wear them!"
As a girl mom, this message is so important to me! I want Emmy and Charlie to grow up feeling strong, powerful, and that they can accomplish anything. And if they can do that and still look stylish, all the better!
I was lucky enough to be sent two headbands, and some hair ties to review!!
First, I had Emmy {Charlie would not cooperate with me} try the "A Little Girl and Her Glitter Band". This headband is "A quality moisture wicking, antimicrobial, and machine washable headband for those band-members aged 18 months-4 years. One size fits most. 3/4 inch width. Constructed of woven cut-loop fibers so the glitter will not "come off" like spray-application glitter ribbons."
Their hair ties "are the trendiest, hippest, and most practical replacement for those old school rubber bands. Our hair ties are created from quality fold over elastic and come in a range of colors. Choose one of our team packs, or create your own 5 pack! Wear our hair ties on your wrist for another trendy look as well." I have seriously been in love with this type of hair tie for a while now. They are SO gentle on our hair and looks ridiculously cute when I have one on my wrist, which I do 90% of the time.
I always having trouble finding something quick and easy to do with Emmy's hair in the morning before school. Her hair is so thick and gorgeous, but always in her face. So it needs to be up at all times.
This headband and hair tie kept her hair back all day long! And neither pinched her hair or hurt her at all. I am so excited to have found something so fashionable and practical to easily keep her hair up at school! I will definitely be telling all the others moms about these.
Now, when it came to reviewing my own headband, I have to say I was a little skeptical. I have a slightly weird shaped head and full headbands never stay put on my head, they are always rolling back.
I was given What Makes You Beautiful headband to review. The website states that these headbands are "non-slip headbands are for everyday wear and for those who want to get dirty on the playing field. Quality materials are used in creating our headbands. They are moisture wicking and antimicrobial, a necessity for those active girls. Elastic back allows for adjustability, one size fits most!"
I decided that if I was going to review it, I was really going to put it to the test. I popped it on right before I did two levels of Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 the other night.
Here is me before the workout:
And here is me after:
Not a single hair out of place!! I'm being completely honest with you when I say I did not have to adjust this headband once the entire time I worked out! This is absolutely unheard of for me.
I am so glad I know about this company now and will absolutely be buying from them again! Please head right over to their website and purchase your own headband...and one for any little girl you know too!
You can also find them on their blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
