I read this article, blog, whatever you want to call it the other day and when I was finished I practically stood up and shouted, "Finally!"  To summarize, JJ Watt gives her opinion on being pro-vaccine for her children.  She backs it up with facts on how immunizations are really only effective with herd immunity, and that the theory that shots, specifically the MMR, cause autism has been disproven time and time again.  JJ Watt uses this article to "come out" as pro-vaccine, and encourages the rest of us to do the same.  The anti-vaccinators are the ones you hear all the time.  Now it's our turn to take a stand.  So that is what I am doing today.  I vaccinate my kids, and I'm proud of it . I try to stay out of the mommy wars as much as possible.  It doesn't affect my life if you co-sleep, formula feed, or clothe diaper.  Your choices on how you raise your child, doesn't affect my child in any way.  Except when it comes to vaccines....

It's time to say goodbye...

I've known this day was coming for a while but I've been avoiding it. Seven years ago, I started this blog. I really didn't know what I was doing, haha. But a few friends from high school started ones, and it interested me. I started this when Emmy was only 4 months old and I felt completely lost as a new mom. I found others who felt the same. Blogging became a way to document my daughter's life and ask questions, find out tips, etc. Through that time I have shared our life. Emmy growing up, adding Charlie to our family, and watching them get older. I've documented vacations, day to day life, and even found a way to make a little bit of money. I've met some amazing friends on here, that I wouldn't have otherwise. It truly has been a wonderful experience But the girls are getting older and their story is not really mine to tell to the public. Also, as my writing career is starting to take off, I want to make sure my private life stays private. Because of that...

My Poor Sweet Mr. B

It is with a very heavy heart that I post this today.  My poor Mr. B passed away at the vet this morning.  He was too weak and there was too much damage done to his intestines.  I always had dogs growing up, but was never really a big dog person till Braddock came around.  He was so cute and cuddly, you couldn't help but love him.  We got him when he was only a few weeks old, and it was love at first sight.  We named him Braddock after the great boxer from North Bergen, NJ, James J Braddock. In his four short years with us, Braddock touched so many hearts.  He will be missed by all. This hurts so much worse than I ever thought it would.  I wish we could have done more and I am heartbroken that I wasn't with him this past weekend.  I don't think I'll ever own another dog again. I will never stop feeling guilty that he died because of a pacifier...something we could have so easily prevented. Braddock....Mr. B....May 26, 2008-June 30, 2012....yo...
