A Little About Me

I'm stealing this from Andrea today for a little lighthearted fun this *gorgeous* Wednesday.  There's too many horrific things going on in the news recently, I just needed a little break from it all!

Guilty Pleasure? Naps and tanning {yes I know it's bad for me...I've heard it all before}

I can't travel without? Chapstick, sunglasses, and my cell
Recent Splurge? Nothing, honestly.  There has been a huge cut back on overtime at Skip's job so money's a little tighter these days.  And any extra we have is going towards a little family vacation in the spring
My go-to flower? Tulips and sunflowers
In bulk, I buy? TONS of stuff.  It is amazing the amount of money we have saved shopping at BJ's.  Formula, diapers, wipes, soda, water, tissues, napkins, paper towels, cleaning products, cereal....I could pretty much go on for days
I sleep on? A queen pillow-top mattress that I also has a feather bed on top....pure heaven
Comfort Food? Pizza or a sesame bagel with butter
For Breakfast? Just coffee...only ever ate breakfast when I was pregnant
For Dinner? Depends...last night we had grilled chicken wraps with melted mozzarella cheese, lettuce, and Italian dressing...yumm!!!
Love/hate relationship with? Staying up late...I love it, but hate how tired I am the next day
Can't Stop Watching? Secret Life of the American Teenager and Pretty Little Liars...my friend L and I lurve us some ABC Family! Also, General Hospital...I DVR it every single day.
Best online shopping find? Groupon.com  Seriously if you haven't checked it out, you need to!!  Not only do they have amazing deals, they also have some pretty fab customer service
Dreaming about? Our upcoming family vacation in March.  We wanted one more big vaca before Little M starts school next fall {I may have just cried a little} when it will get more difficult to plan a trip around her breaks.  It will be warm, sunny, and a certain famous mouse might just make an appearance!
Crushing on? A little Jon Bon Jovi....as always {get it...Always....haha}

Every girl should have? A pair of jeans that makes her feel absolutely amazing
My style in five words? Skinny jeans, boots, tank, cardigan
I love wearing? Heels.  At only 5'4 I'm pretty tiny and heels make me feel a little more average.  But my job as a SAHM leaves me little time to rock some heels....so I guess I'll say boots.
Dream Job? Honestly?  This...being a SAHM.  It's all I ever wanted.  But when I go back to work eventually?  I would love to be a full-time sub at a school.  All the fun of teaching kids but you don't have to deal with the parents, report cards, conferences, etc.

    Liked learning a little bit about you.. I love the natural suntan too!
    Secret life a guilty pleasure of mine.. My girls and I try to count how many times they say "sex" in the show - it's hilarious!

I read this article, blog, whatever you want to call it the other day and when I was finished I practically stood up and shouted, "Finally!"  To summarize, JJ Watt gives her opinion on being pro-vaccine for her children.  She backs it up with facts on how immunizations are really only effective with herd immunity, and that the theory that shots, specifically the MMR, cause autism has been disproven time and time again.  JJ Watt uses this article to "come out" as pro-vaccine, and encourages the rest of us to do the same.  The anti-vaccinators are the ones you hear all the time.  Now it's our turn to take a stand.  So that is what I am doing today.  I vaccinate my kids, and I'm proud of it . I try to stay out of the mommy wars as much as possible.  It doesn't affect my life if you co-sleep, formula feed, or clothe diaper.  Your choices on how you raise your child, doesn't affect my child in any way.  Except when it comes to vaccines....

It's time to say goodbye...

I've known this day was coming for a while but I've been avoiding it. Seven years ago, I started this blog. I really didn't know what I was doing, haha. But a few friends from high school started ones, and it interested me. I started this when Emmy was only 4 months old and I felt completely lost as a new mom. I found others who felt the same. Blogging became a way to document my daughter's life and ask questions, find out tips, etc. Through that time I have shared our life. Emmy growing up, adding Charlie to our family, and watching them get older. I've documented vacations, day to day life, and even found a way to make a little bit of money. I've met some amazing friends on here, that I wouldn't have otherwise. It truly has been a wonderful experience But the girls are getting older and their story is not really mine to tell to the public. Popping my Puking Cherry

I've been hiding a secret from all of you.  One I was too afraid to mention for fear of massive repercussions.  Until this past Saturday, I had gone 3 1/2 years of motherhood without a single puking incident. Sure we had our fair share of projectile breast milk and formula from each of the girls when they were babies, but that was it.  And that's hardly a big deal in my book.  I knew one day the stomach flu or something similar would eventually end up in our lives, but I rode out the puke-free wave as long as I could.{I also think I got to live without puke for so long since I had more than my fair share during my pregnancies} Enter Saturday.  The day of my sister's wedding rehearsal and dinner.  Skip, the girls, and I are all dressed up and ON TIME.  Something I used to pride myself on and something that rarely happens with two kids.  I had a huge diaper bag filled with everything I thought we'd need.  We hit the road and begin our hour...
