I think this past weekend was the perfect way to kick off being 30! Friday was a nice lazy, relaxing day spent with family, eating pizza and cake, and taking not one but TWO naps:) Around 3:30, Skip and I dropped the girls off at my parents house for a two night sleepover! It was the longest I've ever been away from the girls, and while I was a little anxious and sad, I was pretty excited for some kid free time.

But not as much as Charlie |
That night Skip, my sisters, a whole bunch of my friends and I headed into Hoboken to do a little dancing! It's been years since I'd been to a bar I could dance at, and I was so excited!! I know I had a fabulous time and I think everyone else did too! It was relaxed, crowded but not too bad, and the DJ played a great mix of music!

We danced the night away until about 1:30 and then a few of us headed back to our friends' apartment for a little after party. Skip and I stayed until 3:00 am or so, and after a quick pit stop at McDonald's, got into bed around 4:30. It was crazy late, but at least it wasn't because either of the girls were up screaming!!
It was absolutely the most perfect way to ring in this new decade!!!
Happy 30th Birthday !!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect way to celebrate being 30! I found that turning 29 was rougher then turning 30.
Also- happy to see someone else enjoys late night trips to Mcy D's! I swear it helps the hangover
Glad y'all got to get out for your 30th, it looks like a blast! And you look smokin' hot, mama!
