Fourth of July Celebrations - Part One

I had a *fabulous* first Fourth of July with my baby girl. Skip was originally scheduled to work, but was able to take that day off. My older sister was having a party at her house down the shore and we were psyched to go! My parents have a house about 5 minutes away from her down there, so we were going to stay there. My mom had bought a crib and put it in one of the spare rooms to make it easier when we go down. Definitely a huge help! Unfortunately my parents would not be able to go down, because of everything going on with my Grandma, but we were happy to get to check on their house and get a few things done for them down there.

Anyways we left for the party early on Saturday morning. We hit a few pockets of traffic, but nothing too bad. I was surprised at how smooth the ride went since there was me, Skip, Little M, Mr. B and Shiba Inu (our two dogs) and all our stuff all packed into one car. It was Little M's first overnight visit as well, so I had definitely over packed! We got down there fine and quickly unloaded the car. We took a long walk down by the bay so Skip could check out the boats, and we stopped at the playground so Little M could go on the swings.

{It did however to be a little too physically exhausting for Mr. B}

After our walk we headed out to get some lunch at Sonic. Skip and I are totally obsessed with Sonic. They play commercials for it all the time where we live, but up until last week the closest one to us was this one...almost two hours away! So we make it a point to go every time we are down there. After lunch we went out for another long walk. It was just such a beautiful day we wanted to take advantage of every second of it! Once we got back my baby sis had gotten to the house and we all just hung out for awhile. Then it was party time!!!
{Little M just woke up from her nap, so I will continue this later recapping the party with plenty of pictures!}

    Thank you so much for your lovely comment. All very good ideas. I will find the strength, and luckily, I will be in school at the time as well, so that should keep me busy as I wait for my loved on to return!

    Thanks again!
