I rang in the new year with my husband and some friends at our local bar

Skip turned 25!!


Skip and I went away to the beach during my Easter break {it was fun but FREEZING!!}

Of course we went to Draft Day again

My whole family attended a gala dinner for my dad's business on Ellis Island

Skip taught me how to fish in a lake

One of my 'Marine's Girls' got engaged!!!


We went down the shore for the most perfect vacation ever to celebrate our second wedding anniversary


I repainted and organized our condo and we put it on the market {right as the market started tanking!}

I moved up at school and became a fifth and sixth grade teacher

I fulfilled my life-long dream and met TIKI BARBER!!!!!!!!

I got to go to some Giant's games




I turned the big 2-5 and my wonderful husband threw me the most amazing party with all my family and friends
Hugh Hefner and his g/f Holly made an appearance at Halloween

The first of my friends had a baby

And we had one final Christmas party at the condo

The State of my Marriage

As you all know, this blog is called Mommy Musings.  And while I sometimes blog about myself, or some sponsored posts, I mainly talk about my girls and being a mom.  That's why I started this blog afterall. Stay Jersey Strong

There are so many things I want and need to blog about, but today the only thing on my mind is the Nor'easter heading straight for the tristate area.  High winds, rain, snow, we're going to get it all.  400,000 people in NJ alone still don't have power, and they are predicting many more will lost it again.  This is really going to set back the recovery effort and cause more damage.  So while I hope to be back to regular blogging this week {well I guess that will depend on whether or not I lose power} but today all I can do is pray that we don't lose more than we already have!  So if you can, I ask you say a quick prayer for NJ and the whole tri-state area.  We really do appreciate it so much. And to all those still in Jersey, about to weather this storm?  Remember to "Keep Calm and Stay Jersey Strong."  Sidenote, I would love for someone to make a shirt out of this saying...let me know if you see any!
