Health and Fitness for my Shiba
Good morning everyone! I hope this holiday-for-some start to the week is giving everyone a little more chance to relax. Today I want to introduce you to someone very important. Someone you may have seen before, or depending on how long you've been around here, you may not have. This is Shiba. No, she's not a fox. She's our OB {original baby} and she's a Shiba Inu. Real original on the name, I know. We got Shiba when she was only 4 months old, back in the spring of 2005. Skip had just come home from Iraq. He had wanted a dog for years, and with our wedding only a few months away, we figured it was the perfect time. Let me tell you, we searched for weeks and played with tons of dogs before we stumbled upon Shiba. She was a skinny little thing, all curled up in the back of her cage at the pet store. She was shaking a bit, as though she was afraid of the world. One look at her, and I was hooked. I was not a huge dog person at the time, so if we were going to get ...
