Five Question Friday



1. Have you ever forgotten your child in a store or at school?
Not yet thankfully!


2. Where did you go on your very first date? {Like first first, not first with your spouse or significant other!}
I had just turned 16 and it was my very first boyfriend M.  We went to the movies, but I honestly can't remember what we saw now!


3. What's your "silly" fear? {We're not talking water and heights}
Calling people on the phone.  Not my friends or family, but doctors, customer service, etc.  I make Skip do it most of the time!


4. Confrontation: do you cause it, deal with it as it comes, or run far far away?
I'll deal with it if I have to but I prefer to run far far away.  I *hate* confrontation!


5. Wood floors or carpet?
Wood floors, definitely.  We have carpet upstairs in all our bedrooms right now since I think it's better for kids, but as soon as they are older we'll be ripping it up!  I think wood floors look so much better and are much easier to clean.

    Um. I HATE calling people on the phone. I've gotten a little bit better since having Carter- and since working at the Triage Desk when I was a nurse.. but oh my god- if I can get out of it.. or casually "forget" so that Husband can do it? Believe me, I do! AHHH! I can't stand it! Haha, too funny!

    1. No. I haven't either. Yet. lol.
    2. My very 'first' first date was with J. to the movies, we saw "Matrix Reloaded". (or maybe it was revolutions?? I dunno. it was in 2004/2005 lol.)
    3. Wow. Same here. I don't like to do that either. Ha.
    4. I usually deal with it right up front. But sometimes I 'stew' over it first.
    5. Hmm...I adore wood floors. So I am going to say wood. However, I have 2 little kiddos so, carpet is good too. But wood is so much prettier, easier to clean, and you can always put a chic little rug down. ;)

    I always have to call people in our house because Brad hates doing it too! I don't hate it buyt I do find myself mentally coming up with what I'm going to say when they answer! lol. I don't think I could pick between carpet and wood floors. I feel like they both have rooms that they are better in! But I do love that you can't stain wood floors!

I read this article, blog, whatever you want to call it the other day and when I was finished I practically stood up and shouted, "Finally!"  To summarize, JJ Watt gives her opinion on being pro-vaccine for her children.  She backs it up with facts on how immunizations are really only effective with herd immunity, and that the theory that shots, specifically the MMR, cause autism has been disproven time and time again.  JJ Watt uses this article to "come out" as pro-vaccine, and encourages the rest of us to do the same.  The anti-vaccinators are the ones you hear all the time.  Now it's our turn to take a stand.  So that is what I am doing today.  I vaccinate my kids, and I'm proud of it . I try to stay out of the mommy wars as much as possible.  It doesn't affect my life if you co-sleep, formula feed, or clothe diaper.  Your choices on how you raise your child, doesn't affect my child in any way.  Except when it comes to vaccines....

I Will Fight You Pregnancy Hormones

Let's play a little game called "What's wrong with this picture?" No it's not that my bedroom is ridiculously messy. {though that is true..not all the time though, I swear!} If it's that I still sleep with a stuffed bunny, you'd be wrong too. {though that is also true...he makes a great pillow!} Yes I know I look much further along than 17 weeks pregnant, but that's not it either. Give up?  Check out my hair.  It's brown.  As in opposite of blond, brown.  Now I know most of you will be utterly shocked when I tell you this, but I am not a natural blond.  I was as a kid, but once puberty hit my strands began to darker.  But I revolted.  I have a slight obsession with love being blond.  And I have been {with help obviously} for the last 10 years or so, with the exception of my pregnancy with Little M. It's time to say goodbye...

I've known this day was coming for a while but I've been avoiding it. Seven years ago, I started this blog. I really didn't know what I was doing, haha. But a few friends from high school started ones, and it interested me. I started this when Emmy was only 4 months old and I felt completely lost as a new mom. I found others who felt the same. Blogging became a way to document my daughter's life and ask questions, find out tips, etc. Through that time I have shared our life. Emmy growing up, adding Charlie to our family, and watching them get older. I've documented vacations, day to day life, and even found a way to make a little bit of money. I've met some amazing friends on here, that I wouldn't have otherwise. It truly has been a wonderful experience But the girls are getting older and their story is not really mine to tell to the public. Also, as my writing career is starting to take off, I want to make sure my private life stays private. Because of that...
