Sunday Favorites

Today's Sunday Favorites is what is your favorite store to buy maternity clothes?

Okay, let's all be honest for a minute.  If you are anyone other than a millionaire who has an unlimited income to spend on clothes you can only wear for a few months, then maternity clothes are ugly.  Sure they've come a long way since our moms and grandma's were sporting pregnant bellies, but they are far from flattering.  I've seen some great pieces, but I definitely can't afford to spend $150 on jeans and $60 each for shirts.  I try and make due with as many pre-pregnancy items as I can {shirts, yoga pants, sweats, etc.}  but they can only last for so long before my thights, butt, and arms completely outgrow them.  So what's a girl on a modest budget suppose to do?

Enter Old Navy.
My most favorite maternity store.  They are relatively inexpensive and I think their clothes are the cutest ones you can get on a tigh budget.  Also, alot of their regular clothes still fit me as long as I buy a bigger size.  Their tanks are long enough, and yoga pants stretchy enough to cover my ever growing body.  I had bought a few items there when I was pergnant with Little M that still fit great.  However, I recently had to do some more shopping there since most of my previous maternity clothes are for the fall.  I am desperately in need of some spring/summer items.

They were having a huge sale the other day and for $209 I was able to pick up
- 3 regular tank tops in a larger size
- 2 nursing tanks
- 3 dresses
- 1 cardigan
- 1 pair of jeans
- 2 shorts
- 1 Mommy and Baby nursing set {jammie pants and shirt for me, hat and sleeping gown for New Baby}

Oh, and there was free shipping!  I am now totally set for the spring part of my pregnancy, as well as those few weeks after the birth when maternity clothes will be too big, but regular clothes will be too small.  I can't wait to get them in the mail!

The only thing I don't like is that there are very few Old Navy stores that actually carry maternity wear.  So I've got my fingers crossed that everything fits. {although to be honest, I'm not sure I could survive standing in front of a dressing room mirror these days, so maybe it's for the best!}

So moms, what is your favorite store to get maternity wear?

  1. I got some of my cutest dresses and tops from Old Navy when I was pregnant. Sometimes they knock it out of the park!

  3. Agreed. We have an Old Navy here where I live. The actual store has a pretty good Maternity selection. I bought ALL of my clothes from there. I spent $200 dollars and got 20 + outfits! Super clearance!

  4. I'm with you! Old Navy is the best. I can afford it; it's flattering, and it's the cutest stuff unless you can spend an arm and a leg.

  5. I said the same thing about maternity clothes! I didn't want to spend a ton on them only to wear them for a few months. Plus it's not like you hope to get back up to that size again, unless you're pregnant of course!

    I wore a lot of clothes that weren't pregnancy clothes when I was pregnant with Preston. As long as they were stretchy they worked, I just went up a size or two! But I did really like Target's maternity section. And Kohls had a lot of inexpensive stretchy clothing! I did splurge at Gap and get two pairs of jeans after a meltdown about how ugly everything I was wearing was. I just told myself that it was okay because I'm going to use them through my next pregnancies.

    But I really can't believe how expensive some maternity clothing is! It's insane.
