Miscellany Monday
{one} I really wish I had more time to blog these days, since these first few precious weeks are ones I really want to remember. But I haven't been able to shower every day let alone blog!
{two} Little M has been adjusting even better than I hoped and really seems to love her little sister. She wants to hold her, kiss her, and tickle her feet all the time!
{three} Baby C is a night owl like her mom. As soon as Little M goes to bed, C thinks it's playtime. The earliest we have been able to get her down is 12:30 am. There is a ridiculous lack of sleep going on around here.
{four} We are so lucky and fortunate that Skip is on family leave until July 26th. I have no idea how I'm going to do this once he leaves!
{five} I have not lost nearly as much weight as I thought I would by this point. Maybe it's because I can't put down the brownies!
{six} Recovery the second time is going much faster than with Little M. However I do often forget that my body did go through a huge trauma only a week and a half ago, and I really need to rest more
{seven} I'M NOT NAUSEOUS ANYMORE!!! I woke up the day after Baby C was born and had never felt more amazing. The world is so much of a better place when you don't want to throw up 24/7 for 9 months straight!!
{eight} My doctor said the next course of treatment for another pregnancy would be a Zofran pump...essentially an IV jambed into my thigh that would deliver a continuous flow of liquid Zofran. Ummm, yeah no thanks. I'm good with two babies.
{nine} Remember this post I wrote last year about how many babies to have and how far to space them out? A lot of you said that when you hold your last baby in your arms, you will just know that you are done having children. Well I now know how true that is. Baby C will be our last baby as our family feels so wonderfully complete to me.
{ten} We took Baby C to her one week check up the other day. She weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 5 oz. I love my little chunker! She also has some reflux problems that has required us to change things around a little bit in terms of sleeping and eating. Will write a separate post about that soon!
{eleven} Little M said "Thank you very much Doctor" as we left his office the other day. She comes out with the funniest things these days!!
{twelve} Our hospital does the most amazing newborn pictures now. Seriously, they look like I got them done in a studio! I was so happy to be able to use them for the thank you cards and announcements I finally ordered yesterday!
I can't tell you about them being amazing without a little sneak peek, right? So I'll end this post with a couple of pictures. Hopefully will be posting her birth story soon!!
