For the past few months, I've alluded to the fact that my family was going through something big, something heavy....but that it wasn't my story to share. For the past six months, my MIL had been battling lung cancer. She fought it with everything she had, but three weeks ago, the doctors said that nothing more could be done. So we brought her home. We visited a lot with her over the past few weeks, and everything we wanted and needed to say, was. We brought the girls around as long as she was feeling well, and I hope Emmy will always carry those nice memories. We were given notice on Friday that the end was probably near, and so the whole family was able to go be with her. On Saturday afternoon, surrounded by the family that loved her, my MIL peacefully passed away. Through our tears and grief, we were happy that she was no longer in pain. As this blog also serves as a memory book for my family, I will be sharing a more touching tribute about...
Love the baby bump
ReplyDeleteWowza! you're ready to pop, sister! :) I love baby bumps, and yours is perfect. Good job going through the whole 10 days with this. I tend to start things like this and never finish them. Congrats!! I can't wait to meet your new little squishy baby!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your belly! Seriously you could put up pics of it everyday and I wouldn't get sick of it! I think I'm going to miss it when baby arrives! :) But for your sake I'll start crossing my fingers that baby does arrive soon!
