A Bedtime Story
As part of her bedtime routine, Little M gets a story every night before she goes to sleep. She gets to pick it out herself and most of the time we have a lot of repeats. She'll want us to read her the same story every day for a few weeks before moving on to the next.
The New Baby by Mercer Mayer is no exception to this. In fact Little M loves several of these books. So the other night when she asked us to read it, it was no surprise. But what was a surprise was when she started reading it herself! Now she's three, so she wasn't really reading it, but she's heard it so many times she memorized it!
I thought it was just the cutest thing ever, so I filmed her the next day and just had to share with you all. The weird noises she is making at the end of each page are supposed to be the sound effects Skip makes when he's reading it...she make have to work on that:)
