How Can YOU help?

The only way the tri-state area is going to be able to start rebuilding is with your help.  Here are some ways you can help out your NJ/NY friends!

For more than 30 years, AmeriCares work has been characterized by caring, passion, competence, timely response, and the effective delivery of aid and saving lives. Because we deliver donated medicines and medical supplies to an established and trusted network of locally based clinics, hospitals, and health care providers around the world, the impact of supporters’ contributions is multiplied many, many times over. Historically, for every dollar donated we are able to deliver $25 in humanitarian relief to people in need. {Thanks Allie!}

The Red Cross has been here in the tri-state area since Sandy first hit.  And so, it has become an easy, great way to donate money to help those in need.  Just head over to their homepage and donate!

If you're looking to donate to New Jersey specifically, you know, since it's my home and all:)  A fund has been set up called the Sandy NJ Relief fund.  It was set up by our wonderful governor's wife.  The two of them have been working tirelessly to help those that need it.  Go here and donate to NJ!

Looking to get a little something back with your donation?  Hop over here and order a "Restore the Shore" t shirt!  100% of the profits go to help the hurricane victims.  And who doesn't want a picture of NJ on your chest:)

You could also ask your church to partner up with a church from this area.  That way there would be specific ways for you to help. {Thanks Meg!}

I'll update this page with more places to donate as I find them.  Also, if there is anyone with a business that would like to donate some profits, contact me and we can work something out!'

And as always, please continue to pray.  We are going to be hit with another storm tomorrow with now up to 65 mph wind gusts and 2-4" of rain.  This is going to make everything worse.  We need your prayers so desperately.

  2. Also a good idea, is to partner with a local church. They'll know where and how to get supplies out and they'll be there long after the Red Cross pulls out. Our church down here has partnered with one in NYC that we can give to. That way they can use the profits for what they know there is a need for since they are in the thick of things.
