Valentine's Day Family Craft
With the lack of Christmas decorations up now, our house is looking a little bare. I don’t mine the cleanliness look at all, but the girls really love when we decorate for the holidays. So I've decided to start putting up a few Valentine’s decorations around the house.
I've seen some really cute things online I could buy, but I decided to break out my crafting skills a little instead. I headed to the craft store where I picked up some red and white Valentine’s Day ribbon, a large blank wooden sign, and four blank wooden hearts.
Once I got home I painted the sign and four hearts with white trim paint I had lying around the house. I used a black {though I really should have used red} Sharpie marker to write Skip’s, mine, Emmy’s, and Charlie’s names on each of the hearts.
Then I found a nice quote to write on the sign. I chose “Our family is filled with hope and faith, held together by love and grace.”
Once it was all dry, I used some all-purpose glue to adhere the wooden sign and hearts onto the ribbon.
I gave it time to dry overnight and it was ready to hang up!
I've been thinking it need a little something extra, so I might add some ribbon roses onto the top and bottom with the extra ribbon I have!
What about you? Are you working on any Valentine’s Day crafts yet?

ReplyDeleteFirst of all- you go mama with your crafty self!! Secondly, my Christmas tree is still up (tradition we keep it up til Jules' birthday so Andrew's fam can see it) so I am hysterical that I'm still hanging onto Christmas and now I desperately want to move on to Valentine's Day since you have made this! xo
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cute craft. I love what is written at the top of it.
