Resolution Check-In
Since we're exactly six months into 2013 {wow that went fast} I thought it would be fun to see how I am doing with my "Hopeful Accomplishments" for the year.
To be honest with you, I totally forgot that I had even made these....whoops. I really should post them up in the house somewhere. So it was a great reminder for me to go back and look them over!
{one} Regularly set specific fitness goals. I actually have started this. Focusing more on my abs one month, setting a mileage record the next. I think it really has helped me stay on track most of the year with my workouts.
{two} Run more. Yes! I still hate it with every step I take, but running and I are finding a nice balance these days.
{three} Stay on top of the laundry. Nope, not even close. Some days I get all motivated and do most of it. But those days are few and far between.
{four} Eat better and drink more water. I am just getting slightly better about this. The first part of this year was a rough one for our family, and what I was eating was not really a concern. But I do want to be a good role model for the girls, so I have upped my water and am crunching on vegetables a little more regularly. Still lots of room for improvement though.
{five} Stop procrastinating. Eh, still not that great about this. Work in progress.
{six} Save more money at the supermarket. This is hit or miss. I am always scouting for things on sale, or looking for the cheapest unit price, but I'm still not great about coupons. Getting a little better about it in the past few weeks at least.
{seven} Eat at home more. Again, things were rough around here for a few months in the beginning of the year. Those times were all about survival and so picking up food was not something I was going to stress about. Since things have calmed down, we have gotten much better about this.
{eight} Let go. I don't think this will ever be something I am truly an expert at, but more of a continual process.
{nine} Go away with Skip. Yes! California was such a rejuvenating, much needed trip. I feel like such a newlywed with him again since we got home.
{ten} Be more intentionally with my blogging and the way I interact with the blogging community. I'm not quite sure if I've reached this goal yet or not. There's definitely things I still want to change about my blog, and the way I blog.
{eleven} Spend quality time alone with each of the girls. I have found myself alone with each of the girls at certain times, but I want to have more scheduled time to do something fun. If Skip doesn't get overtime today Emmy and I are going to the movies today...there's a start!
{twelve} Make more of an effort with my appearance. I definitely don't get dressed in cute clothes and put on make-up every day, but I have been getting much better about this. I think Skip is happy about this one.
{thirteen} Overhaul my closet. I definitely made a lot of progress so far this year. I'm pretty sure I sold / donated at least three giant garbage bags of clothes so far this year. And if I buy something new, I make sure I truly love it!
Overall, I think I'm doing pretty well with my resolutions at this point. What about you? How are you fairing at this half-way point?
