Resolution Recap
Last year around this time, I wrote my list of "hopeful accomplishments". The term sounded a little nicer and far more manageable that resolutions. I was hoping it would help me follow them a little more closely.
So what do you think? Was I able to fulfill my thirteen "hopeful accomplishments"? Let's take a look and find out!
{one} Regularly set specific fitness goals. Yes! Manda's 30 mile in 30 days link up is really what helped me stay on track with this. Adding to my mileage each month really helped me stay on track, and push myself harder than I would have otherwise. I definitely want to continue this next year!
{two} Run more. Yes! This is probably the accomplishment I am most proud of. On April 1 I decided enough was enough, and I was going to start running for real. Nine months later I have logged 266.73 miles of just running. I can't believe how fast I'm getting or how far I'm able to run!
{three} Stay on top of the laundry. Nope...wonder if I'll ever get better with this.
{four} Eat better and drink more water. Eh...I really did try at this, but with all the bad things that happened this year, it was just easier to eat candy and drink soda.
{five} Stop procrastinating. For the most part yes. I have been getting better at this, though not great.
{six} Save more money at the supermarket. I did make this more of a priority this year, although there is definitely room for improvement.
{seven} Eat at home more. I actually think we got worse with this the past year. With Skip's mom's illness, and then her death and the death of my grandma, we were in survival mode most of the year. Hopefully things will calm down and we can focus more on home-cooking this year.
{eight} Let go. I'm trying, but still need work on this.
{nine} Go away with Skip. Yes! California was very needed and such a wonderful break for us.
{ten} Be more intentionally with my blogging and the way I interact with the blogging community. I'm not sure whether or not I accomplished this, but it's definitely something I'm working on all the time.
{eleven} Spend quality time alone with each of the girls. Charlie gets lots of alone time with me when Emmy is at school, but Emmy doesn't have that luxury. And with Charlie's need to be attached to my hip all the time, Emmy and I didn't get much time just for us. Now that Charlie is getting bigger, I'm hoping we can change that this year.
{twelve} Make more of an effort with my appearance. I did try and make an effort more here, though the winter is the worst. Sweatpants are just so much warmer!
{thirteen} Overhaul my closet. I did make a lot of progress here this year, though I could definitely do some more!
Check back on New Year's Day to see what my resolutions are for 2014!
How did you keep up with your resolutions this year? Will you be making some for 2014?
