Big Plans
2014! It's here! It's finally here! I've been waiting for this new year, this fresh start, for about 11 1/2 months now {no joke}. So now that it's here, I welcome it with open arms.
I have big plans for you 2014, big plans. I'm expecting a lot out of you, but I am also willing to give a lot in return. This year I hope to accomplish the following:
{one} Let's get the fitness one out of the way first, since it's on just about every one's list. I want to keep tracking my miles each month and posting them for accountability. I want to push myself to increase my mileage every month. Once it's warm, I want to really push my running to the next level, faster and farther!
{two} I want to eat much healthier and drink a lot more water. I say this every year. Let's see if it can actually stick for once.
{three} Worry less. I asked Skip for help on what I should work on, and this was his only suggestion. I am a worrier, I won't lie. And it does often affect how I go about my day. So this year no more...nothing I can do about most things anyway, right?
{four} Keep the house better. Laundry piles up a lot, there are so many things I could re-organize, and I really need to get rid of a lot of excess stuff. I actually made a pretty good start last year. Well it's time to really dive in there and get it all done now.
{five} Save a lot more money. Considering we are four people living in one of the most expensive areas in the country and living on just one income, we're doing pretty good. But I would still like to stock more away. Time to cut back on impulse buys, things we don't really need, and take-out. I'm hoping to figure out how to save way more at the grocery store too.
{six} Make my little family of four my priority..above everything else, and everyone else.
{seven} Above all, my mantra for this year will be NO EXCUSES. No more trying to justify why it's okay to eat candy for dinner...to put off washing the tub just one more day...to order food instead of making a healthy meal. I'm done.
Bring it 2014, I'm ready.
