100
I had no intentions of making this my highest mileage month ever, but after my friend had challenged me, I continued pushing myself with longer runs. The closer I got to the end of August, the more I realized I wanted to hit that 100 mile mark for the month. I have never done that in all the months I've been counting mileage. I was also really happy with the fact that it was all running...normally I also do the elliptical, bike, etc at some point. But this was a full month of all running outside, and I loved it!
I really didn't think I was going to finish yesterdays run. It was 90*, close to 100% humidity, and really dark storm clouds as I headed out. But I took it slow and hoped for the best. I end up running the last two miles in the rain, but I finished with my best 10k time, so it was all worth it. Sometimes you just have to push through.
This month taught me that my body is capable of more than I thought it was. It also taught me that I just have to hunker down and really commit my mind to something, than I can make it happen. It took some coordinating and a lot of help from Skip, but I am so proud of myself for achieving this goal.
Here's the breakdown of my runs

You are so awesome!!! You are rocking that running.
ReplyDeleteAmazing job!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You are inspiring me to lace up my shoes again. Do you run with your girls or when they are at home? I am looking for a double jogging stroller that doesn't weigh a ton right now and possibly joining a gym that has a sitter.
