Summer > Fall

Sigh, it's September...which apparently I wouldn't have known yesterday except for all the amazing people posting about it on social media.  Am since when did fall become the 'it' season?  Is that what happens when you get older?  Is it immature to get excited about summer?  Not that I care..I will be a summer girl forever.  I just seem to be the only one this days.

Anyways, now that I'm done with that rant...I'm hoping to get in a few posts this week recapping our summer.  It truly has been one of the best of my life.  The weather was hot and dry, and we took advantage of every moment.  We had our fair share of lazy days, and also got a lot done.  We've been to the pool, the beach, carnivals, and pretty much every park within a 20 mile radius.  Here's a photo dump of some of what we've been up to.










So you can have you PSL's, boots, and scarves.  I'll be here rocking my bikini and cut off shorts for as long as possible.  The girls don't start school until next week and I plan on soaking up every second!

    I remember your blog was one of the first ones I started following when I took up blogging almost 5 years ago! I'm with you on Summer, I'll always be a summer girl. Enjoy every second Momma!

Happy Thursday everyone!  I'll be honest, I almost didn't link up today.  Mainly because there's really not much to report.  Here's what I did:   Thursday September 19 - none Friday - nothing Saturday - 2.5 mile walk Sunday - nada Monday - zip Tuesday - nothin' Wednesday - no thing Weekly Total - 2.5 August total - 31.4 Yeaaaaaah...so that whole 50, maybe 60 miles I was hoping for this month is not going to happen.  In my defense, I seem to have come down with the plague and have been sick all week.  Saturday was the only day I felt kind of normal.  I always have trouble pushing myself when I have a cold to workout, and normally end up just sitting on the couch under a blanket instead.  I really do miss working out though and will hopefully be able to get a little something done to finish out the month. What about you?  Do you still workout when you're sick?  How do you motivate yourself?

The Movers Concert!

Sooo, I totally didn't mean to take this mini blogging break.  But life has just been crazy busy and on the go the past few days that there was no time!  It was nice though to just step away from pretty much all social media and just LIVE.  This weekend was good for my soul and I will be doing a few catch-up posts to fill you all in! The fun began on Thursday afternoon.  Way back in October, Skip and I heard that that Imagination Movers were doing a concert nearby.  You know, these guys from the Disney Channel... They once aired a concert of theirs on the Disney Channel and Little M is OBSESSED.  We have it saved on the DVR, and she wants to watch it at least 3 times a week.  So when we heard about the tickets in October, we were really tempted.  But we didn't know if she would still be interested in them, and with our trip to Disney, we were saving all the money we could. What to wear in September

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but here in Jersey the weather gets a little strange here once the calender switches to September.  It's still really warm during the day {70's and 80's} but it drops down to the 60's, 50's and sometimes even 40's at night.  And since it's post labor day, it's not exactly appropriate to be rocking all my summer favorites.  So this often poses a real challenge when it comes to clothes. The past few years, since I'm a SAHM, I have just lived in yoga pants, a tank top, and a zippie {a zip-up hooded sweatshirt} most of the time.  But since I have to take Emmy to school now, I don't want to be that frumpy mom standing in the pick-up and drop-off area.  Here are some of the outfits I've been throwing together.  I've been working hard on finding things that I can easily add or take away clothes as the temperature changes, instead of changing my outfit 109834598 times a day. {Sorry for the...
