Birthday Recap

I just realized I never posted this from MONTHS ago...you know, since my birthday is in October;-) But better late than never!!

I know as you get older, it's not really 'cool' to celebrate your birthday anymore.  But honestly, I don't care.  I love my birthday!  Now I no longer have a week-long celebration at a different bar or club every night like I did in college, but it's still always a good time.

I started celebrating a few days early this year.  We had a birthday party in South Jersey with some of the Marines Skip served with and all their kids.  Since we were already down there, we stayed at my parent's house for the night. I was spoiled with my favorite dinner, cake, and presents!

The next day we all went to this local farm by my parents'.  They go all out for Halloween, and though *freezing* we had a great time running from one activity to the next.

I swear Skip was having fun....but the sun was in his eyes!!

Monday was my actual birthday.  After getting the oven fixed in the morning, painting the trim in my room, and moving around some furniture, Skip and I relaxed on the couch with pizza and Homeland.  Perfection.

I snuggled on the couch with the girls and they sang to me with candles lit on a cookie cake.  After the girls went to bed, Skip and I had a few friends over for Monday Night Football.  Sadly, the Giants lost....badly....but we still had a really great night.

Let me tell you, 33 is looking pretty good to me!
