Uncommon Goods
A huge thank you to Uncommon Goods for sponsoring this post!
A week before I was contacted by Uncommon Goods, I had received one of their catalogues in the mail. Now, I know, we're all inundated with catalogues these days. Most of them I simply toss in the trash. But a few items caught my eye on the cover, and I started to flip through. Next thing you know, I had hopped on the computer and was clicking purchase for several gifts for my family. I also earmarked other items to save for upcoming birthdays! {true story}
So I absolutely jumped at the chance to review some of their items myself! I mean, who doesn't want a little early Christmas gift for themselves? I'm embarrassed to admit that it took me about three days to finally chose what items I wanted...because there were so many good choices! In the end I chose two very special gifts.
The first is this bullet pen. How cool is this?! As a cop wife and writer, this could not be a more perfect gift for me. The weight of the pen is perfect...not too heavy, not too light. Let me tell you, this is actually a very important quality! And the pen writes smoothly and easily.
I also chose this beautiful necklace. Known as quiet courage, the sterling silver piece has three charms on it. The yin yang symbolizes perfect balance. Garnet promotes vitality, courage, passion, and love. And the smoky quartz calms and helps manifest dreams. It is delicate and beautiful and absolutely perfect for this holiday season! It is perfect for when I'm dressed up and also when I'm bumming around in jeans.
So whether you're looking for gifts, or just want to treat yourself to a little something. Check out Uncommon Goods! They are quickly becoming my go-to shopping source! Run out of the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal, Uncommon Goods features gifts that are made without harming people or animals. They also make sure that even their lowest-paid seasonal worker is paid 50% above the minimum wage. They are using their business to positively impact the world!
Disclaimer: I received these items free in exchange for a review. All photos and opinions are my own.

I bought a 'bullet pen' from juniorsbulletpens.org about six years ago for my husband and he loved it. The pens were made as a personal gesture from the family of a solider who was killed in action. My husband wound up buying one for all of his groomsmen too!
